remember when backstreet boys teamed up with burger king and they made bk commercials and had bk toys and cds and vhs FOR THE FANS cause i do and now im crying and laughing because everything was so amazing and im just so happy THANK YOU FOR EXISTING
That silly promotional gig is actually how I got into their music XD In retrospect, the whole thing seems funny, but I’m so glad they did it
That other photo reminded me that I had this one.
I like that Brian and Howie are carrying the other guys, lmao
I can’t help it but when I talk about Backstreet Boys I just get all fluffy inside and ends up with a wierd smile on my face. No wonder I don’t have any friends.
"People should really calm down about Howie saying he would kill himself if he were gay. I’m absolutely positive he didn’t mean anything by that, and when you put the boys on the spot like that, sometimes they say stuff they don’t mean. He obviously supports gay marriage and had said it himself, so he didn’t mean to be offensive."
^ This. While I admit I was really disappointed when I heard his comment (kinda left a bitter taste in my mouth, you know?), I was also reminded of all the gay rights activism work that ALL of the guys have participated in throughout the years (not to mention the cute couple in the end of the IAWLT video), so clearly he didn’t mean anything malicious behind it. When people get put on the spot, it’s soooo easy to put your foot in your mouth and say something wrong (god knows I’ve humiliated myself dozens of times like that, I’m sure everyone makes a comment now and then that comes off wrong). We as fans are lucky enough to be supporting a group that is not only musically gifted, but also comprised of five incredibly sweet and open-minded guys, let’s let bygones be bygones :)
